Meeting Architecture (MAP): An Overview

CMP-IS Domain:   A. Strategic Planning
Clock Hours:   1.5

Session:
Meeting architecture is a comprehensive approach to the many projects the industry is undertaking to the strategic approach and the mastering of the content side of meetings. Through future educational offerings, both graduate and post graduate, it will change the outlook for industry and take meetings to a new level. Meeting architecture can and should be owned by this industry.

For meeting professionals it creates a new focus and a new horizon. Senior professionals have an alternative career path besides leading a team of meeting professionals or procurement.

The session will start new thinking and provide guidelines for advancing skills and knowledge in the short and long term.Participants will learn valuable language and techniques to overcome existing hurdles in working with their clients; the meeting owners. Applying these techniques will make them the ‘go-to’ person for meeting owners in the early stages of organizing a meeting.
