Make the most of your association membership by being involved - and one of the best ways to do this is by joining one of our chapterís dynamic committees. Our MPI-WI Chapter is one of the most forward-thinking, active chapters of Meeting Professionals International and offers opportunities on many different committees- one of which is sure to be a great fit for you.

As an MPI-WI member, you are eligible to participate on one or several committees. Committee roles are for one-year terms, from July through June, corresponding to the chapter's fiscal year.  If you are interested in joining a committee or would like more information, please contact our chapter office at admin@mpiwi.org

The Membership Committee focuses on contacting new and current members and administering the Ambassadors. They also work in conjunction with the Special Events team on the Awards Banquet. The subcommittees within Membership include:

Vice President of Education: Katie McGinnis
Director of Monthly Programming:  Tracey Bockhop, CMP
Director of Special Education Projects: Danielle Ziegler, CMP

The Education Committee is responsible for producing the monthly chapter meetings and the two Education Days held each year. Subcommittees within Education include:

  • Monthly Education Sessions (October, January, February, March, April)
  • Education Days (May)
  • Regional Conference (Great Lakes Educations Summit)
  • CMP and CMM Chapter Champions
  • Speaker Advisory Council


Vice President of Communication: Maria Peot, CMP
Director of Website, Social Media & Public Relations: Cathy Kreiter
Director of Publications & Community Outreach: Sarah Banach 

The Communications Committee focuses on the public relations, community outreach, and chapter communications via the newsletter and the website. The subcommittees within Communications include:

  • Community Outreach/Advocacy
  • Agenda Magazine
  • MPI-WI Website


Vice President of Finance: Sara Kern
Director of Special Events:  Jane Kincheloe
Director of Fundraising & Strategic Alliances: Liz Unruh

The Finance Committee is responsible for overseeing three special events held each year, chapter fundraising and strategic marketing. The subcommittees within Finance include:

  • Awards Banquet
  • Partnership Marketing
  • Fundraising
  • Golf Outing
