What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

Happy members! If our members do not see the value in their membership and are not having fun being a member they will not continue. We need to ensure that every member's needs are being met!

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

I believe that keeping the Chapter’s vision alive and achieving it, is the most important thing for the success of our Chapter, as it outlines the values we hold as an organization. It starts with us, the leadership team, to never lose sight of our vision and to always carry it around and share it with our MPI members. “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality”.

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?
The important thing for the success of the chapter is it’s members! Our member’s make us who we are, help us grow and develop, challenge and support us and make us  a better chapter overall. We couldn’t do it without them!

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

Collaboration/Teamwork. When we work together as a team to execute a cohesive message we will achieve our goals…not only as a board, but as a chapter. A chapter’s success is not measured by the duties of one individual or group, but by the volunteers, members, and supporters who believe in being a part of something bigger. By collaborating on projects, events, articles, etc., we can learn from each other to enhance our own skills to support the chapter and bring back to our own organizations, regardless if you are a supplier or planner.

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

I think the most important thing for the success of the chapter would be finding out individual member’s needs. Everyone joins MPI for their own reason and if we can reach out to members and understand and assist with why they joined our chapter will be stronger and more successful. When the members feel fulfilled not only are they successful but our chapter is as well.

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

Because the full benefits of being a Member of MPI-WI don't even begin to kick in until you are involved as a volunteer at some level.

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

I think that one of the key factors for success for the MPI-WI chapter is member involvement. There are so many volunteer opportunities available in our chapter. Some of these opportunities require more of an investment, but I really believe that the higher the involvement, the greater the reward. I think this applies not only for personal and professional development through involvement, but also in strengthening our chapter and leaving a strong legacy for future meeting professionals.

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

Our members! Without our members we wouldn’t have a chapter. We need to find out what our members want most out of their membership, and do what we can to make it happen. Find out what makes them happy, provide great education sessions to help them grow in their career, and network opportunities.

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

Our chapter will continue to excel as ALL of we members continue to support each other and nurture our collective passion and enthusiasm for the power of meetings and events.    More simply, I love a good nautical reference. John A. Shedd said it best for me: "A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are made for."

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

Our membership and volunteers are most important to the success of the chapter. MPI-WI wouldn't exist without active membership of those involved in & passionate about hospitality. Being an active member allows us to bring our full selves to the organization - our emotional connection to our work, commitment to the industry, our life experience, skills and connections.

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

I believe that attracting new and retaining current members and strategic alliance partners is most important for the success of our chapter. In my opinion, members are the most beneficial part of MPI WI – and should be utilized to build upon our already strong group of strategic alliance partners. Having a network of people to learn from and connect & partner with is highly invaluable.

It has been and honor and pleasure to serve the board and members of this chapter for almost 15 years!  Volunteer time is one of the most valuable resources available and this chapter is beyond fortunate to have so many committed to their profession. It has been exciting to be part of the growth of MPI Wisconsin and its recognition as a model chapter.
