What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

I believe that keeping the Chapter’s vision alive and achieving it, is the most important thing for the success of our Chapter, as it outlines the values we hold as an organization. It starts with us, the leadership team, to never lose sight of our vision and to always carry it around and share it with our MPI members. “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality”.

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why??

The most important piece for success in this chapter is having members that find value in their membership. If you don’t think there’s value to something, why would you have it? Having multiple opportunities for networking throughout the year to a diverse education plan (because we all know different folks need different topics to learn about) to robust options for our Suppliers to get their name out in our community (sponsorships/advertising) is all how we can show value to our members and keep this chapter strong.

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?
The most important thing for the success of our chapter is putting our members first and having active, engaged member volunteers. When our members' interests are put first, they will find value in their membership and are more likely to volunteer and give back to the chapter. The more engaged our members are, the better experience they will provide for their fellow members, creating a cycle of active participation in chapter activities!

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?
Listening to our members is key as they are the reason for our chapter in the first place! As the VP of Education for the second year I take our event surveys and really listen to comments from our members to learn what kind of speakers to book for future years. Have a suggestion for a speaker? Send it my way!

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

It is my hope that the Wisconsin Chapter of MPI will be considered the “go to” in our industry and in order for our members to have that philosophy, I believe we should provide industry focused continuing education and additional resources similar to our CMP 101.

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

Happy members! If our members do not see the value in their membership and are not having fun being a member they will not continue. We need to ensure that every member's needs are being met!

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

BThe MPI-WI Chapter has been very fortunate to have so many active volunteers.  It is the work of the volunteers that makes our chapter successful.  A tall, wise man once said that your MPI membership is like a gym membership.  You get out of it what you put into it.

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

I think that one of the key factors for success for the MPI-WI chapter is member involvement. There are so many volunteer opportunities available in our chapter. Some of these opportunities require more of an investment, but I really believe that the higher the involvement, the greater the reward. I think this applies not only for personal and professional development through involvement, but also in strengthening our chapter and leaving a strong legacy for future meeting professionals.

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?
I think the most important thing for the success of the chapter would be finding out individual member’s needs. Everyone joins MPI for their own reason and if we can reach out to members and understand and assist with why they joined our chapter will be stronger and more successful. When the members feel fulfilled not only are they successful but our chapter is as well.

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

I believe the most important thing I to be welcoming to new members and establish relationships with current ones. Stepping up to volunteer is a great way to broaden the networking advantages of being an MPI-WI member. Establishing great relationships is not only rewarding for your business but personally as well.

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

Collaboration/Teamwork. When we work together as a team to execute a cohesive message we will achieve our goals…not only as a board, but as a chapter. A chapter’s success is not measured by the duties of one individual or group, but by the volunteers, members, and supporters who believe in being a part of something bigger. By collaborating on projects, events, articles, etc., we can learn from each other to enhance our own skills to support the chapter and bring back to our own organizations, regardless if you are a supplier or planner.

What do you think is most important for the success of the chapter? Why?

Our members putting forth ownership into the chapter is what will help keep us successful. When we genuinely strive to listen to one another and build each other up - that’s when true, meaningful knowledge will take place, and we’ll be better equipped to achieve our goals. We’re all in this together and there’s nothing we can’t accomplish. Let's enjoy ourselves and make the most out of it!!

It has been and honor and pleasure to serve the board and members of this chapter for almost 15 years!  Volunteer time is one of the most valuable resources available and this chapter is beyond fortunate to have so many committed to their profession. It has been exciting to be part of the growth of MPI Wisconsin and its recognition as a model chapter.
