Meetings Gone Wild! Getting The Job Done With Less Stress and More Fun!
#MPIWIFebEd

Let Manitowoc be "Your Host on the Coast" for the MPI-WI February Chapter meeting as the Holiday Inn Manitowoc and the Manitowoc Area Visitor and Convention Bureau host their first MPI-WI event. Chip Lutz, our February featured speaker will teach us how to reduce stress and how to deal with it in a positive way. Manitowoc fits this topic theme perfectly inviting you to relax, put your feet up and learn from Chip while you "Coast" with us. You'll be able to network with your MPI-WI friends and enjoy some local fare--smoked fish anyone?! Chip's naval background goes hand in hand with Manitowoc being the home of the Wisconsin Maritime Museum complete with a WWII era submarine, the USS Cobia moored along the riverfront! Our hosts at the Manitowoc VCB can arrange a visit to the attraction at the end of the evening.

Our Community Outreach partner this month is The Mission of In-Courage. This non-profit organization provides supportive responses to the people of Manitowoc County area who are experiencing violence in their lives. See below for the list of needed toiletry items.

Don't forget to attend our complimentary CMP 101 session before lunch: MPI-Wisconsin is proud to offer CMP 101, which is a one-hour study session for those interested in taking the CMP exam. Meetings Gone Wild! Getting The Job Done With Less Stress and More Fun!

Time Magazine declared stress the epidemic of the 1980’s and things haven’t slowed down in the past 30 years…especially in the life of a professional meeting planner! Computers, cell phones, continual changes and just the daily grind can leave even the most resilient meeting professionals feeling like they are diagonally parked in a parallel universe! Laughs abound as your team will learn how to “Deal With it Positively” so they can make the shift in attitude when things get tight.

Attendees of this session will learn:
  • Key Attitudes that help break the stress barrier
  • Actionable strategies that can be used immediately to make the rapid mental adjustment necessary to move past the stressful event and get the job done.
  • A renewed spirit and an action plan getting back up when the meeting life knocks them down
