Trends in Group Travel for the Meetings and Events Industry
Join our expert meeting professional panel for a discussion on trends in group travel within the meeting and event industry. Come and hear the panels discussion on destination trends, travel safety, and proper protocol. This is a great session to gain insight from our panel members on the trends they are seeing in group travel and have an opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A. Stick around for a wonderful evening to honor those who truly make a difference in our industry.

Rose Gray

Rose Gray,
Fox World Travel

Bio: Rose Gray is the Manager of Business Development for Vacation Sales at Fox World Travel.  She is also the host of the Fox World Travel Show heard on WTMJ on Saturday mornings. Rose has a bachelor’s degree from Lakeland College and has completed the C T C program, a two-year management course offered by the Institute of Certified Travel Consultants. During her 28 years in the travel industry she has traveled as far north as Reykjavik, Iceland, as far south as Porto Montt, Chile, as far west as Vanuatu, and as far east as Singapore.  And although she loves traveling the globe, her favorite vacation is Arizona in March for Brewers’ Spring Training.

Jeff SkilesJeff Skiles
EAA, Miracle on the Hudson

Bio: As an airline pilot, Jeff Skiles has spent 34 years in the air and has logged 21,000 flying hours. While his career has been long, and he is qualified as a Captain on five different transport category aircraft, he is best known for a few short moments as the First Officer of the Miracle on the Hudson. Jeff is the past Vice-President of the Coalition of Airline Pilots Associations where he primarily advocated for safety and security concerns of interest to airline pilots. He also writes and speaks on issues of safety, preparation and training. Jeff currently is the Vice-President of Chapters and Youth Education for EAA.

Mae Ibe, CMPMae Ibe, CMP

Bio: Mae Ibe, CMP has been in the meetings industry for over 20 years. In her most recent roll as Director of Convention at the Fox Cities Convention Bureau, she worked with groups ranging in size from 10-3,000. She assisted groups with a number of challenges including legal permits, housing, registration, contracts, and emergency planning. Mae is an active member of MPI and past president of the MPI-WI Chapter. She resides in Neenah, WI with her husband and three children.

Paulette Heney, CMMPaulette Heney, CMM
Meetings & Incentives

Bio: Paulette Heney, CMM has been in the meetings industry for over 20 years.  Her diverse background includes Corporate, Pharmaceutical, Association and nonprofit meetings.  Heney started as a registration coordinator and has worked her way up to a director over the past 20 years.  Heney’s extensive experience in meeting planning, tradeshow management, contract negotiations, problem solving and fiscal accountability continues to assist organizations succeed in their conventions, meetings and tradeshows with continued growth and success.

Heney earned her Certificate in Meeting Management from Michigan State University, Eli Broad College of Business Management in 2000, while serving as the Director of Meetings, Events and Travel and USBC.  Heney also taught Meeting Coordinate and Registration, Transportation and House for the Meeting and Event Planning Certificate at Waukesha County Technical College.

Heney served on the MPI-Wisconsin Chapter Board from 2000 – 2009, with service as Chapter President from 2007-2008. Concurrently she served on the MPI International Governance Committee and International Chapter Leadership Committee.

In addition, Paulette has been honored by her peers with numerous awards, which include, Planner of the Year, Industry Advocate, Chairman’s Honor Roll and the President’s Award.
